Shook Touchstone, a joint venture between Lima-based Touchstone CPM and Moraine-based Shook Construction, will provide construction management services for the $120 million Northeastern Local School District building project in Springfield, Ohio.
The project will involve the construction of two new PK-12 facilities, the Northeastern School in South Vienna on a newly purchased site, and the Kenton Ridge School, built adjacent to the current Kenton Ridge High School on Middle Urbana Road. The new facilities will serve around 3,150 students.
Dayton-based Ruetschle Architects is serving as the architect for the project.
The project is being funded by both the school district and the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC). The project also will include $17 million in Locally Funded Initiatives (LFI) for items such as LED lighting, solar hot water, enhanced security, and high-efficiency refrigeration and ice storage.
The timeline for the construction of the project is currently in development.
Shook Touchstone has overseen more than $1.18 billion in PK-12 construction work since the partnership began in 2007.
