Apollo Career Center's new $52.8 million renovation and addition project is co-funded by the Ohio Facilities Construction (OFCC) and the District. The project includes the renovation and reprogramming of the existing Apollo Career Center (including Adult Education and Construction Equipment Office Building) and new additions. The renovated area consist of 117,583 SF of academic and career technical space and the new addition to the building will include 45,823 SF for academic and career technical spaces. Renovation of the existing administration building which includes 12,694 SF and reprogram the existing 38,552 SF adult education building; and renovate and reprogram the existing 22,350 SF auto building will be completed. The facility was occupied by staff and students throughout the construction period. Swing space for students and staff was coordinated in order to maintain education and all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology systems. The project was designed to meet LEED Silver Certification.
This 7-phase new addition/renovation project was completed on schedule and under budget.
