This renovation is a 15,500 square foot transformation consisting of 16 new patient rooms, two which are bariatric rooms. Each room has a private bathroom which is located on the outside wall of each room to allow a better room layout. Acrovyn style doors were purchased which are much more durable. Centerpiece headwalls incorporating solid surface materials and wrapped with cabinetry on either side at the bed location. LED lights have been incorporated on the entire unit. The renovated ICU rooms provide more space for patients and their family members. Each room also received new windows which include integral blinds. Two central nurses' stations were added to help accomodate larger patient monitoring systems along with decentralized nursing stations nearby patient rooms to promote an enhanced patient-focused experience which fosters Lima Memorial's specialized team approach.
