Touchstone CPM is one of only a handful of contractors in the State of Ohio that is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and employs LEED accredited staff. Green building, also known as and green construction or sustainable building, is the practice of creating structures and using processes that are environmentally responsible and resource-efficient throughout a building's life-cycle: from design to construction, operation, maintenance, renovation, and post-occupancy. In fact, Touchstone's parent company, Tuttle Services, recently rebuilt its corporate office building to LEED Gold Standards. Tuttle's new office building project was the first LEED Gold project in Lima, Ohio, Allen County and NW central Ohio. In December of 2008, at the time of the new building's completion, there were only 8 other LEED Gold projects (under LEED NC 2.2) in the State of Ohio.
