April 21, 2017: Shook Touchstone a joint venture between Lima-based Touchstone CPM and Dayton-based Shook Construction, will provide construction management services for the $2 million Lorain County JVS facility expansion and renovation project.
The project scope currently includes the relocation of the Allied Health Science Program and expansion / modification to the Early Childhood Education Program within the existing vocational school.
The project will begin summer 2017 with completion prior to the start of the 2017-2018 school year. This is the second consecutive project Shook Touchstone has provided construction management services to Lorain County JVS.
The architect on the project is Columbus-based MKC Architects.
Shook Touchstone has performed over $1 billion in PK-12 construction work since its inception in 2007.
April 12, 2017: Shook Touchstone, long-time construction management joint venture partners, has been notified by the U S. Green Building Council (USGBC) that the recent $52.8 million new additions/renovations project Shook Touchstone managed for Apollo Career Center has been awarded LEED Gold Building Certification. LEED which stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, sets standards for building construction and operation that will have the least negative impact on the environment and the greatest benefit to the community and building occupants. LEED certified buildings save money for not only the school district, but also the taxpayers through the numerous environmental and energy efficiencies incorporated into the building design and construction.
Partnering with Shook Touchstone for the Apollo Career Center building project was Minster-based architectural firm, Garmann Miller & Associates. Apollo officially dedicated their new and improved career technical training facility to the public in September 2016 as part of its 40th anniversary celebration.
February 2, 2017 - Touchstone CPM and it's sister company, Tuttle Construction, has fulfilled the requirements for ISO 9001:2015 certification. ISO certification demonstrates the organization's capability to provide services that meet customer and applicable statutory regulatory requirements and aim to enhance customer satisfactin through implementaton of a quality management system meeting required ISO standards.
The ISO 9001:2015 certification verifies the companies, have applied a quality management system in support of: contract or project management for design construction and installation activities associated with commercial, institutional and industrial construction projects. Touchstone and Tuttle are one of the first companies in the construction and construction management sector to achieve the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.

December 2016: Shook Touchstone, a joint venture between Dayton-based Shook Construction and Lima-based Touchstone CPM, will provide construction management services for the $40.5 million new middle/high school for Fostoria City Schools.
The scope includes a new 123,314 square-foot middle/high school, renovation of an existing intermediate school while adding 11,533 square-feet of new space, and the abatement and demolition of Fostoria High School, Holmes Elementary, Longfellow Elementary, and Riley Elementary Schools.
Substantial construction completion will be late 2019.
The architect on the project is Minster-based Garmann-Miller & Associates.
This projects makes over $1 billion in PK-12 construction work the Shook Touchstone team has performed since its inception in 2007.
